Despite leading the Cincinnati Bengals by 20 points at one point in this game, the Pittsburgh Steelers nearly lost it in the final seconds. The Bengals’ two fourth quarter Touchdowns brought them within six points of the Steelers, and when they got the ball back in the remaining four minutes, the intensity level really increased. Luckily, the Pittsburgh defense managed to hold them off, just short of the Touchdown.

The Steelers took a big lead in the first half, resulting from a one yard run from Rashard Mendenhall, an eight yard pass from Ben Roethlisberger to Hines Ward, and two Jeff Reed Field Goals. Unfortunately, in the second half, the Steelers only points came from a lone Touchdown, thrown from Wide Receiver, Antwaan Randle El, to Mike Wallace.

Big Ben got his third win since returning to the team, and a big one, coming against a Division Rival. Roethlisberger threw for 163 yards, completing 17 of his 27 passes. He had a single Touchdown pass, and only one interception.

The Steelers are doing great, heading into the second half of this season. They should have a pretty intense game against the New England Patriots this Sunday, November 14, at 8:20 P.M. ET.

This game got off to a slow start with neither team scoring any Touchdowns until the fourth quarter. The Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints went back and forth, forcing punts and causing two Turnovers, a piece. By Halftime, each team had only scored a Field Goal, making it anyone’s game. Unfortunately, the Saints came out tough in the fourth quarter and managed to put up an extra Touchdown, giving the Steelers their second loss of the season.

This was Ben Roethlisberger’s third game back, and his first loss of the season. He had no Touchdown passes, but threw for 195 yards, completing 17/28 passes. Big Ben had a single interception against the Saints. The Steelers’ lone Touchdown was scored by Rashard Mendenhall’s 38 yard run.

As nice as it would have been to defeat the defending Super Bowl Champs in their Hometown, the Steelers still have a great record of 5-2. They are currently tied with the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North, leading the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns by three games.

The Steelers have a big game against the Cincinnati Bengals next week, in Cincinnati. The two teams will host Monday Night Football, starting at 8:30 P.M. ET.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently tied for the best record in the NFL after beating the Miami Dolphins and adding their fifth win of the season. However, this game came down to the wire, relying on a Field Goal in the final three minutes to win the game. The Steelers continue to battle it out with the Baltimore Ravens for leadership in the AFC North, leading with one less loss due to their BYE week.

Ben Roethlisberger had another big game, passing for 302 yards and throwing two Touchdowns and no Interceptions. Big Ben had a play where he fumbled the ball at the Goal Line, but due to inconclusive evidence about who recovered the ball, Pittsburgh maintained possession. The change in offense since his return is vastly obvious. Hines Ward and Mike Wallace were the recipients of those Touchdown passes. The Steelers remaining nine points came from Jeff Reed Field Goals.

Despite allowing 22 points, the Pittsburgh defense was pretty solid, only allowing a single Touchdown. The majority of Miami’s points came from Field Goals.

The Steelers will try to continue this great start to the season when they take on defending Super Bowl Champs, the New Orleans Saints, this Sunday at 8:20 P.M. ET.

Although the Pittsburgh Steelers were unable to go 4-0, Rashard Mendenhall definitely had a good night. Other than Jeff Reed’s Extra Point kicks, he was the only Steeler to put up points against the Baltimore Ravens. Regardless, the Steelers should be happy that if Baltimore had not have won the game with a last minute Touchdown, Pittsburgh would have ended the Ben Roethlisberger suspension undefeated.

Charlie Batch did his part filling in, throwing for 141 yards and only a single interception. Another solid performance by the defense held the Ravens to only two Touchdowns and a Field Goal.

Now, the Steelers should expect an even better offensive performance with the return of their Star Quarterback in Week 6, after a Week 5 BYE. Big Ben’s first week back shouldn’t be too much of a challenge as the Steelers take on Division Rivals, the Cleveland Browns.
