The Pittsburgh Penguins have already accumulated seven wins out of their first eight games of the season. Saturday night, the Penguins put up an easy win against the Tampa Bay Lightning as they sported their Blue Alternate Jerseys.

Pittsburgh dominated the first period with 11 shots, two of which turned into goals. The first goal was put in by Bill Guerin off a rebound from Evgeni Malkin’s shot. Before the end of the period, Sergei Gonchar put in a long shot from Brooks Orpik to give the Penguins a two goal lead.

In the first part of the second period, the Lightning got their first and only goal. Only about two minutes later Pascal Dupuis made it a two goal difference again. The Penguins held Tampa Bay off for the rest of the game, even adding another goal from Michael Rupp in the third period off an assist from Sidney Crosby.

Marc Andre Fleury had 22 saves against the Lighting, holding them off to a single goal.

The Pittsburgh Penguins take on St. Louis Blues this Tuesday, October 20 at 7:00 P.M. ET.
