The Pittsburgh Steelers welcomed back the return of Ben Roethlisberger, who had missed last weeks game due to a head injury sustained in the previous week.  The Super Bowl quarterback threw for two Touchdown Passes, 278 yards, and one interception.  Him and the rest of the team played a great game, but just couldn’t pull out the win over Oakland.

The game started out on a slow note, with more than half of the game’s points being scored in the fourth quarter.  The final quarter was filled with five Touchdowns, alternating between the two teams.  Oakland’s last second Touchdown put them three points ahead of the Steelers, giving them the win. 

The Steelers are now 6-6.  In the AFC North, the Steelers are currently one loss behind the Baltimore Ravens.  Depending on the outcome of Tonight’s Monday Night Football Game, the Steelers may remained tied with the Ravens for second in the division.  Three games behind the Division Leading Cincinnati Bengals, the Steelers might need to rely on the Wild Card in order to make the playoffs.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have now extended their winning streak to five games after giving the Denver Broncos their second loss of the season.  Despite the roaring Denver crowd, Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers delivered a pretty substantial win.  Pittsburgh's record is now 6-2, the same as it was at the end of Last Season's Week 9, and we all remember how last season ended. 

The Steelers will face the Cincinnati Bengals at Home this Sunday, November 15 at 1:00 P.M. ET.  The Bengals are currently 6-2, also, but the Steelers have already proven that they have no trouble taking down teams with outstanding records.

It was a Close, Low Scoring Game to start off the 2009-2010 NFL Season!  After ending Regular Time tied 10-10, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tennessee Titans went into Over Time.

Although no points were put up in the first quarter, there was plenty of action.  Both teams pushed, but neither was able to get anything in.  The second quarter proved to be a little different.  Santonio Holmes caught a 34-yard pass from Ben Roethlistberger in the End Zone to give the Steelers their first Touchdown of the Season.  With less than a minute left in the Half, the Steelers just had to contain the Titans.  However, the Titans managed to get through and tie the game up at 7.

The third quarter was very similar to the first quarter.  Both teams neared the opponents End Zone at times, but no new points were put up on the board.  The fourth quarter is where the real action took place, making this Season Opener a real nail biter.  About 4 minutes into the quarter, the Titans took their first lead of the night with a Field Goal.  They maintained that lead until the last three minutes of the game when Jeff Reed tied it up with a 32 yard Field Goal.  With the final minutes of the game, the Steelers defense forced a punt and one last chance for Pittsburgh to win this game.  With a little over a minute, Hines Ward made a run off a pass from Roethlisberger, getting within four yards of the End Zone.  Unfortunatley, Ward fumbled the ball and the game was forced into Over Time

The Steelers luckily won the coin toss and made their drive for the End Zone again.  Roethlisberger got the team within the Titans 15 yard line.  Jeff Reed put in an easy 33 yard Field Goal to win the game for the Steelers.

Big Ben had a great game!  He completed 33 of his 43 passes, threw for 363 yards, and had a successful Touchdown Pass to Santonio Holmes.  He almost had two, had the Ward play gone as planned.
