A death threat against Washington Capital player Alex Ovechkin surfaced on an online message board. The poster claimed that he was going to kill Ovechkin and didn't care if he went to jail.
The note was reported to the Captials, who then reported it to the Pittsburgh authorities.
Ovechkin has been a threat to the Penguins throughout the three games of this playoff series, scoring five goals amongst the three games. He even obtained a Hat Trick in one of the games.
The Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals will play Game 4 Friday, May 8 at 7:00 Eastern Time. The game will be the last one in Pittsburgh before returning to Washington.
