The Pittsburgh Steelers put up a good fight against the New England Patriots, but they came up a bit short. The Steeler defense had their toughest game of the year, allowing five Touchdowns and over 100 rushing yards. Luckily, since the Baltimore Ravens lost this week, the Steelers are still tied for the top spot in the AFC North.
Emmanuel Sanders and Mike Wallace got the Steelers three Touchdowns, with Wallace bringing in two. All three of those TDs came in the fourth quarter, after Pittsburgh was playing catch up. Their only points in the first half came from a 22 yard Jeff Reed Field Goal.
Ben Roethlisberger had a hand in all three Touchdowns. He passed for 387 yards against the Pats, completing 30 of 49 throws. He only had a single interception during the game.
The Steelers just need to brush this game off and carry on with their season. They are still in a good position, and they still have a great team. They can prove that this Sunday, November 21, as they take on the Oakland Raiders, at Heinz Field.
