    What does the A mean on the Crosby’s Team Canada shirt mean?

      The A is for Alternate Captain. There are three Alternates on Team Canada, and they rotate wearing the A on their jersey. Scott Niedermayer is the captain of Team Canada, while Sidney Crosby, Jarome Iginla, and Chris Pronger are Alternates.
