The Pittsburgh Penguins managed to put up win on Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Penguins have been struggling a little lately, only grabbing three wins in their last ten games, but, hopefully, Pittsburgh is on the right track now.

Bill Guerin put in Pittsburgh’s first goal during the opening seven and a half minutes of the game, receiving the pass from Sidney Crosby.  However, before the period could come to an end, Toronto tied it up with a Power Play goal.

With a little over five minutes left in the second period, Sergei Gonchar gave the Penguins the lead again, during a Power Play of their own.  A little over two minutes later, Gonchar did it again, receiving the assist from Evgeni Malkin both times.  Crosby made it a three goal lead for Pittsburgh early in the third period, putting in his 27th goal of the season.  Crosby still maintains the fifth place position for total points in the NHL.

Marc Andre Fleury played a great game against the Maple Leafs, grabbing 42 saves and only allowing one goal, during a Power Play.  Fleury has been having a rough patch of his own, but this game really helped boost his Save Percentage.  It is now at 90.6%.

The Penguins next game will be against the Minnesota Wild on Monday, January 11.  The puck will drop at 8:00 P.M. ET.
