In the first half of the game, it looked like the Pittsburgh Penguins were going to chalk up a loss to the Edmonton Oilers; however, with a three goal rally in the third period, Pittsburgh took the win. Jordan Staal had an assist on all three goals, aiding his team in their first back-to-back win in nearly a month. The Penguins are now only four points behind the New Jersey Devils.

It was a slow start to the game with only seven shots being exchanged between the two teams. Unfortunately, the Oilers came out strong in the second period, taking 18 shots and putting two of them in; both goals were during Power Plays. During the third minute of the third period, Tyler Kennedy put in the Penguin’s opening goal. Three and a half minutes later, Matt Cooke had a Power Play goal to tie the game at 2-2. With under ten minutes in the game, Pascal Dupuis put in the game winning goal.

Marc Andre Fleury had a great game, making 33 saves, and adding another win to his record. With his 25-14-1 record, he is currently ranked fourth in the NHL in regards to wins.

The Penguins take on the Vancouver Canucks Tomorrow, January 16, at 10:00 P.M. ET. This will be the final game of their Road Trip.
