Steelers Suffer Overtime Loss in Baltimore
Steelers- 17 Ravens- 20
For the second time this season, the Pittsburgh Steelers settled their match in Over Time. Unfortunately, the result of this Over Time match up was a loss, bringing the Steelers record to 6-5. They are now tied with the Ravens in the AFC North.
Dennis Dixon did a great job filling in for Ben Roethlisberger, who sat out the game due to hit he took on his head last week. Roethlisberger is not seriously hurt, but decided it was best to sit the week out. Dixon threw for 145 yards, had one Touchdown and one Interception.
The Ravens sent the game into Over Time with a Field Goal in the final seconds of regular time. In Over Time, Pittsburgh started out with the ball, but had to punt it away. Luckily, the Steelers defense managed to force a punt from Baltimore. Unfortunately, Dixon’s pass to Santonio Holmes was intercepted, putting Baltimore in Field Goal range. After a few more plays, the Ravens kicked the winning Field Goal.
